Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 July 2026

Tshova ("Tshova", "we", "us") operates a ride-hailing platform connecting riders and drivers in Zimbabwe. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the Tshova app you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

How we use your information

Verifying your phone number

We confirm your phone number by sending a one-time code by SMS through our verification provider, Twilio. Your number is used to sign you in and to let your driver or rider contact you about a trip.

How we share information

We share only what is needed to provide the service:

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your account at any time from the app's settings, or by contacting us.

Your choices & rights

Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections, access controls, and server-side rules that prevent one user from seeing another's private information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data.

Children

Tshova is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll post the new version here and update the date above; significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
